    The Human Smuggling and Trafficking Center (HSTC) is an interagency fusion center and information clearinghouse, composed of representatives from various governmental agencies, and focused on matters of migrant smuggling, trafficking in persons, and the facilitation of terrorist travel. The HSTC provides the U.S. Government with a mechanism to achieve greater integration and overall effectiveness in its efforts to eliminate these activities. The HSTC is unique among U.S. organizations and centers in that it concentrates on illicit worldwide travel and provides guidance to U.S. Government policymakers.

    The tackling of human trafficking, as a crime that shames us all, is undertaken by the UNODC 'Blue Heart' global campaign of awareness through the call "Open Your Heart To Human Trafficking." The Blue Heart campaign aims to rally world public opinion against the crime of human trafficking.

    Soroptimist International is a worldwide organization for women in management and professions, working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women, including the Purple Teardrop Campaign.
